How to Switch to a Digital Antenna

    • 1). Check your television's user manual to see if it has an installed digital tuner. If not, you must purchase a digital to analog based converter box. If you don't have the user manual on hand navigate to the television's manufacturing website online, select "Support," then choose the make and model of your TV. You should be able to find all the technical specifications for your TV.

    • 2). Connect the coaxial cable running from the digital antenna into either the "In" port on the TV (if the TV is digital), or the "In" port on a digital converter box. If you did not need a converter box you can proceed to step 4.

    • 3). Connect the standalone coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the digital converter box, then plug the opposite end into the "In" port on the TV.

    • 4). Power on the television (and the digital converter box if you're using one), then change the station to "3." The programming from the digital antenna now loads onto the screen.
