Green Camping

There is no doubt that camping is a green way to spend your time during the holidays, but the premise is that it's done right. For instance, a camping tent is greener than a caravan, and hiking is greener than driving. More than that, what steps you take decides your own camping trip is green or not. Of course, it's not as complex as you imagine. It is a matter of simple common sense, much the same as in all other areas of life. As long as you do it right and carefully, your camping trip will be green.

Anyway, Most of the steps which make your camping trip as green as possible are what you should do automatically. For instance, you should never throw about litter in the campsite, even a cigarette butt. You had better prepare a reusable bag to hold the litter and dispose of it properly. If you are walking, never drop any litter, just put it in the bag and take it back to the campsite with you.

There are many recycling bins for cardboard, glass and paper in the campground. At this time, you could use them properly if you need these things, but you should be as environmentally friendly as possible. It only takes you a few seconds, just as it does in the gazebo at home. It goes without saying that you are devoting to the environmental protection if you do it right and properly.

In addition, though campfires are traditionally part of the camping experience and really lovely, they are not environmentally friendly. In order to be better to protect environment, you should choose to use a camping gas stove, or even solid fuel to cook. If you are planning to make a campfire, make sure it will be not out of control and keep it as small as possible. Besides, you had better not use fallen branches from the woods, because they are part of the local ecosystem, so keep mind to bring your own firewood. The most important is not to burn plastic, or anything that contains chemicals which can be simply pollution.

Maybe you will use the family tent, for you will take your kids to camp. During the camping trip, you could teach your kids the knowledge of environmental protection just in time. As a matter of fact, environmental protection is important for our human beings, so that green camping is really vital for you to do well.
