With the mortgage industry in a state of shock or panic (I'm not sure which) we have Mortgage Brokers and Loan Officers dropping out like crazy.
Almost every day I hear of a Broker or an LO saying he's sticking to this business, he has "faith" this business will pick up and it will get better.
Then, almost every day I hear some of these same Broker's or LO's left the business or closed their doors.
I guess the "faith" they had didn't last long.
People assume way too much in this business.
There is way too much Jedi Mind Control Stuff.
Just because you believe something is changing and WANT something to change, doesn't mean it's happening.
Obi-won may have been able to control others by using "The Force", but chances are most of us haven't been taught by Master Yoda yet, right? What am I getting at here?Faith, that's what.
Faith is a good thing to have.
If you have faith in your success, guess what? You're on your way.
If you have faith this business will turn around soon, keep up the thoughts.
But, there is a bit more to it than just having faith.
My mentor recently said this and I thought it was brilliant, he said "Faith can move mountains, but you gotta bring a shovel.
" No wonder he's a mentor, the dude's got it together.
I'm not saying you should have faith because you should.
You should ALWAYS have faith in yourself, no matter what business you're in.
But please keep in mind, you'll need to back up your faith with action.
People will always live in houses and people will always need mortgages.
Your job is to get the people to get the mortgage from YOU.
The way this starts is to have faith in yourself.
