How to Troubleshoot a Carrier RV Air Conditioner Unit

    • 1). Set the air conditioning thermostat to cool. Sometimes the switch can be bumped while traveling or people are moving through the unit.

    • 2). Turn on the power. If the power running to the air conditioner is not on, you will not get cold air. Also check that the circuits are not blown.

    • 3). Check that the furnace blower motor is on and running.

    • 4). Change the air filter. A dirty air filter can cause the unit to be clogged and not run.

    • 5). Move furniture so the air grilles are not blocked. The air registers must be open as well.
