Thousands of Laptops Stolen Each Week - This Time it Was Mine

I'm always guilty of assuming bad things won't happen to me.
I've recently been proven wrong.
Let me tell you the story.
Almost all of us have laptops, right? We hear statistics about how many thousands of laptops are stolen every week, especially at airports.
According to a study of 106 major U.
S.
airports and 800 business travelers published by the Ponemon Institute and Dell Computer, about 12,000 laptops are lost in airports each week.
Only 30 percent of travelers ever recover the lost devices.
Nearly half of the travelers say their laptops contain customer data or confidential business information.
If you're like me, you figure that won't happen to you because you really keep a good eye on your stuff while traveling, right? That's what I thought, too.
I went to Las Vegas to an Online Revenue Builders workshop/conference in January.
I took my HP Laptop - the same one I'm typing on right now.
But, I also threw my little Netbook in my suitcase just in case something happened to my laptop I would have a backup to check email and surf the net a little (that's about all they're good for).
I don't know when or where it happened, but my Netbook never made it home.
Somebody, somewhere, got a nice new Netbook.
Maybe it was in the hotel, maybe it was in the airport - I'll never know.
When I got home, I called my friend who handles my off-site backups for my desktop computers here in our home office.
I asked him what he had for my laptop.
I loved the answer.
He had actually just released a new product JUST for for laptop security.
I signed up, and now my laptop is backed up every time I logon to the net.
If it were to be stolen, the webcam would snap a picture of who's sitting at the keyboard and send it back to me.
I could also logon and have all my data digitally shredded, knowing that I have a good backup anyway.
I want to share this website with you, in case you think this would be a good product for you.
It's very affordable.
Click here Sentry Backup and go take a look if this interests you.
I can't control everything that happens, but whatever happens, I rest a little easier about the data security on my laptop.
