COMEDK Engineering Colleges in Bangalore and CET Engineering Colleges in Bangalore offer engineering courses in various disciplines to students from Karnataka as well as across the country. The colleges mostly admit students based on the scores of CET and COMEDK.

Eligibility to Take Up COMEDK or CET

One should have completed the pre university education in science stream from a recognised educational institution in India. For taking up CET, the aspirant should have a domicile of Karnataka. COMEDK is open to students across the country.

Examination Pattern

The engineering entrance examination of COMEDK as well as CET requires a lot of hard work. The syllabus of the examination is exactly the same as the science and mathematics syllabus of Pre University. The questions are MCQ type and have to be answered in an OMR sheet. The problems to be solved in the examination are tricky ones and can be solved applying basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After the examination, candidates are ranked based on their scores in the examination.

Counselling

Students are ranked on the basis of their scores. Henceforth, a separate counselling session is conducted for CET and a separate one for COMEDK. During the counselling, students are allotted the colleges based on their rank, choice and availability of the seats. The college should be selected on the basis of their faculty, infrastructure and the placements they offer.

Admission to COMEDK and CET is possible through the Management seat as well. The colleges offer engineering courses in Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Telecommunication, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical and various other branches. Before selecting the stream, one should give preference to his/her field of interest.
