When families are searching for a new pet, they are usually looking for something easy to maintain, cheap to feed, and, of course, friendly to humans.
Usually, many families will never see bearded dragon as the perfect pet to add into their family, since they are scary looking and almost intimidating.
Well, here are three reasons to buy bearded dragons for sale, which should hopefully help tell pet owners and future owners of how great they really are as pets.
1.
) Watching them as they grow.
Bearded dragons for sale are usually only six to eight weeks old.
When baby beardies hatch out of their egg they are around three inches long; when they are put up for sale they are around five to seven inches long.
Since bearded dragons can grow up to measure anywhere from 15 to 24 inches in less than a year, they grow fast and are exciting to watch as they mature.
2.
) Licks of love.
Although a bearded dragon will hopefully never greet you at the door, jump onto you, and lick you in the face, since it should have been secured in a cage, bearded dragons will give you licks once they get to check you out and get used to having you around them.
However, once they do start giving you licks, any time you go up to pet their chin they will probably sneak in a lick of love! Their licks may remind you of a dog-like action.
3.
) They are clean.
Unlike a beardy and a dog's similarity of giving licks of love, they are very different when it comes to maintenance and feeding.
One advantage to a beardy is they are kept in a cage! No messes hidden around the house or hair gummed up into every small corner of the floor.
Just a cage, two lights, and a regular cleaning out their poop.
4.
) The last reason to buy a beardy is because they are cheap and easy to feed.
Beardies mainly eat crickets and red leaf lettuce.
If you pick up 100 crickets a week (around $5) and a head of red leaf lettuce ($2), you will only be spending around $7 per week to feed the family pet.
Also, all you really have to do everyday is turn on and off the lights, and feed them once a day with around ten crickets and some red leaf lettuce.
