How to Really Lose 30 Pounds in 30 Days

The first thing to do when you start any diet program is to check with your doctor to make sure all you're dealing with is excess pounds.
Once you have the all-clear, the next steps are simple to follow.
First devote about an hour to a project that will help you get your mind's full focus on an non-dieting approach to losing weight.
The reason for this is you're about to jump start your weight loss in a way you've never done before and you want to avoid resistance...
which is a natural by-product of change.
For most of us the idea of dieting means going fat free.
This is easier when the process is fun.
It also helps when your efforts work the magic you'll need to knock off the first 10 pounds in about 10-14 days.
Let's start with a step by step approach and fill in the details as we go: We'll begin by engaging your mind's biggest strength, namely its use of pictures.
The old saying, "A Picture Is Worth A Thousands Words," works like magic.
Especially when it's fun.
Allow yourself an hour to go through your magazines and cut out pictures.
  • Your focus is pictures of places you've always wanted to go, clothes you've always wanted to wear, houses with decorating ideas you've always wanted to copy, etc.
    Start with the clothes you'll wear when you're 30 pounds lighter and go from there.
    Give yourself at least an hour for this first exercise.
  • Paste your pictures into a scrapbook and give it a snazzy title.
    Your primary exercise for the next 30 days is to look at the pictures, all of the pictures, at least 3 times a day, every day.
    As you're looking at the pictures, loose yourself in thoughts about your size, shape, how people will stare and how you'll feel after going fat free for the next 30 days.
    Concentrate on holding in your stomach muscles and siting erect and with good posture as you spend at least 15 minutes each of the 3 times a day that you look through your "Journey To Thinner" scrapbook.
    My Mom lost 10 pounds in 7 days from this first part of the process...
    she said she would have lost more if she had been motivated:)
  • This is the only Do-Not-Do Stuff part of the process.
    I'll clarify the reason for this part of the process by letting you know that I am a hypnotherapist with more than 15 years of experience as a weight loss and personal development coach.
    One important thing I've learned is that there is a large block of time, nearly every day of the week, when individuals eat without their senses being fully awake.
  • This makes it easy for them to eat beyond their body's ability to warn them that they are full.
    Here's what I'm talking about.
    When a person is hypnotized they relax and become less aware of distractions.
    They are also in a state where pain and other sensations are minimized.
    This is why hypnosis is often used for pain control during surgery or in the post surgery recovery period.
    When you eat while watching a movie or TV, you enter a trance-like state.
    What this means is you are doubly in trouble at this point for two reasons.
    Reason 1 is commercials.
    Commercials tend to be mainly focused on promoting foods to eat and places to eat them.
    This is programing in its purest form.
    Reason 2 is the fact that distractions are minimized when you are watching TV or at the movies and your body' sensations that would normally alert you to feeling full are operating at a much lower level than normal.
    Bottom-line, you'll want to avoid eating when your attention is distracted.
    This can apply to watching TV or movies or even reading a book or listening to music with headphones while you eat.
    To summarize all the steps for clarity, the first part of the process is designed to make sure your mind's full focus is directed to your weight loss.
    Your mind is dramatically stimulated with pictures and you'll be successfully triggering your mind's functions to their highest level of efficiency.
    The second part of the process is designed to help you be aware of your body's responses when eating.
    Time and place are of great importance when you eat so you want to maximize your ability to succeed with your focus on when and where you eat.
    Don't eat at the movies (I know that sounds silly but it is also a sensible message for all the reasons we're aware of these days) and don't eat while you're watching TV.
    The good thing about both of these suggestions is that you should enjoy the process of eating without distractions.
    Good food, and good tasting food serves several purposes.
    In addition to the fact that food feeds the body, it also feeds the soul.
    So enjoy eating tasty, healthy and nutritious food.
    And let your eating be a pleasure that's fully enjoyed..
