I found out about this campground from a friend, and I RV camped there in April 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

We RV camped at this KOA for six nights. We originally had four nights. We enjoyed the town so much we added two more nights. Very nice campground. Kid friendly with bike and paddleboat rentals. We had a site across from the lake. It's a small lake, but we saw people pulling bass out.

Didn't use the bathrooms, but peaked in. Old, but clean. Office people were helpful. When the local paper was sold out, the nice office person pulled up the weather on her laptop for me. This KOA is close to the historic district, about five miles. It's five minutes from the beach. There's a grocery and tons of restaurants nearby. This is very centrally located to everything.

Pros: Very nice.

Cons: The sites are close together. There are some trees in between.

Nearby attractions: Historic district, beautiful beach.

Further comments: The St. Augustine campgrounds are booked a year in advance. To get a nice site, you need to book early. We're going to book this month for next spring break.
