Southwest Tequila Marinade
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- juice of 1 lime
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried Mexican oregano
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 2 teaspoons mild chili powder
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 0 minutes
- Total Time: 15 minutes
- Yield: Makes about 2 cups
Preparation
Combine all ingredients and store in a plastic container with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days after preparation.
Marinate beef, lamb and pork for about 6 hours, poultry for 4 hours and fish for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
