  A board game party gathers aficionados of classic games to show their expertise. Make the most of the theme by including decorations that mimic the games that will be played. Take pictures of guests next to the decorations. With a little effort, you can create an overall look that will make the party entertaining and memorable.
  
  

Food Decorations

• Go online and scan images of classic game boards to make miniature decorations for party foods. Scan the images into 3- or 4-inch squares and mount them on foam board or cardboard. Attach them to skewers and place inside a bowl of chips or to top a cake for a birthday party. You can also make them into place cards to display on the party food buffet table in between bowls of various foods, snacks and beverages.
  
  

Hanging Decorations

• Scan large images of the main boards of games and classic playing pieces into 10-inch squares. The images can then be turned into hanging decorations that you can place in various rooms in key spots. The scans can be attached to a piece of foam board or cardboard.
