How to Glue Glass Together in a Fish Tank

    • 1). Put a line of heavy duty adhesive along the edge of the glass where you want the other piece of glass to adhere to. If it is a liquid adhesive, you will have to put a generous coat on the glass with the brush provided, and if it is a gel, you should be able to just squeeze a generous line down the edge of the glass.

    • 2). Have your partner press the other piece of glass onto the adhesive. It may squeeze some excess glue out on the sides of the glass. This can be removed quickly with a rag as soon as you can spare a free hand.

    • 3). Hold the glass firmly together for five minutes. Check the label of your glue; some of them require UV rays or some kind of lighting to begin the curing process.

    • 4). Allow the adhesive to firmly bond and dry for two hours.

    • 5). Spray the outside and inside of the glass seam with clear coat.

    • 6). Repeat on all four corners of the fish tank.
