When it comes to skiing in Canada, most of the attention usually gets paid to mountains such as Lake Louise and Whistler in Canada's western provinces, but Canada's eastern region also offers some great skiing options. While resorts in Ontario and Quebec may not have the same vertical drops as those in the Rocky Mountains, ski areas in eastern Canada offer challenging terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. - Mont Tremblant sits 90 miles north of Montreal and offers 95 ski runs serviced by 14 lifts when in full operation. An 18-acre terrain park offers various rails, jumps and ramps for snowboarders. The mountain has an elevation of 2,870 feet and the longest single run is 3.7 miles. The charming Mont-Tremblant pedestrian village sites at the foot of the mountain, where most of the dining and accommodation options are located. Lodging options range from motels to condos to luxury hotels. As of 2010, one-day lift ticket prices start at $55 Canadian for adults.
