Tom Cruise wears the Epic Collection by Jacob & Co. (jacob the jeweler) during a recent press tour through Germany to promote his latest film, Knight and Day. Jacob & Co.'s Epic Collection houses the automatic 27-jewel Caliber with chronograph functions, date indicator and a 48-hour power reserve. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it features the hours and minutes in the center, along with center seconds for the chronograph. The chronograph minute sub-dial is at 3 o'clock, and the 12-hour sub-dial counter is at 6 o'clockwith the timekeeping seconds hand located at 9 o'clock. The start and stop functions of the chronograph areoperated off of a round pusher at 2 o'clock, while reset is operated via a pusher at 4 o'clock. The three-position crown offers time correction, date and re-assembly. All Epic Automatic Chronographs are equipped with a sapphire crystal and a rubber strap. One of Jacob's most creative line extensions was the development of the Five Time Zone, "The World is Yours" timepiece. This unique, bold design turns the diamond dial into a world map by using different colored diamonds to form the continents and oceans.
