Taken For Granted

Just sitting here looking towards the sky with music in my ears, I see the many things I take for granted every day, never to give them a second glance thinking that tomorrow always end's up to look the same, not bothering to think for a minute that tomorrow may never come!...
although living in fear of tomorrow is not something we want or should do.
Fear is one of those emotions that humans do not like to feel because it gives us a sense of being below something along with a sense of powerlessness.
As human beings we like control, but if we have too much control and power it starts to get to us and we start to feel obsessed and soon the appreciation of what is around us is what we take for granted, thinking that with what we are nothing can ever disappear or go away..
...
Unlike when we were young kids; a time we were enlightened by almost anything that was given to us, even if it was just a bunch of old keys that open no doors or treasure chests, simply the door to some limited knowledge that was probably of no use to us at the time, but either way we didn't care about what we would get from it..
..
we were just happy that it was something that enlightened us, and captivated us due to which we appreciated it, even without knowing that whatever it was had no real value.
Thought now no matter how enlightening something may seem we may never bother to give it a second glance because we had nothing to gain from it, like the little gestures from others that we take for granted without thinking that after today we may never receive them again..
..
There may come a time when we refuse to even appreciate the people around and with us, taking them for granted, we may lose these people because if we only bother to look at what we can gain from them and use them as stepping stones to get to where we are today...
and maybe when they leave us behind or we leave them we may think back and wonder if it was truly worth it.
Never do we realize that something that has always been present and think will always be present, could go away in a blink of an eye leaving us to wonder what happened and feel like shit for not appreciating and taking the time we had with it, instead of thinking of it as something that will keep turning up.
Maybe taking things for granted is what truly makes us human, we are not perfect and never will be but the most we can do is learn from our past mistakes.
Maybe all we really need is to stop once in a while and just look at the beauty around us and the many people with us whom we may not appreciate as much as we should.
Maybe to fully appreciate what is around us we need to stop and smell the blossomed flowers while showing our appreciation to the blossoming ones! Always be careful of what you have cause tomorrow could take it away; so show your appreciation of the world around you..
...
we never know what tomorrow may bring or take away!
