IIT JEE is believed to the toughest entrance test in the world. It has more number of aspirants appearing for the exam as well as the difficult level of the paper is very high. It has been observed that even bright students who secured excellent marks in their12th Class also manage to score less than the expected marks. It isn't that the candidate wasn't prepared; it might be due to lack of time.

 

In JEE Mains and JEE Advanced you get minimum time to solve maximum questions. Also, it carries negative marking. Hence, they generally commit silly mistakes. Here is the consolidated list of common mistakes every IIT JEE aspirant commit during the exam.

Not making personal study plan


The biggest mistake! JEE is an application based exam that is designed to test student's concepts and analytical capabilities. A student can score good marks in school or board exams, but to crack JEE they need to determine the level of effort required on various chapters and their weak and strong areas. For this having a study plan is very important.

Neglecting emotions/tendency


In difficult situations, we generally experience changes in our behavior and experience temperament changes. In JEE, about 13 lakh students give the test and every one faces situations when they are stressed, worried, make silly mistakes due to tension and forget answering a few question in stress. These are normal emotions every candidate comes across. Those who manage it will succeed the exam.

No taking regular test


Students usually ignore the strength and benefits of online mock test. They feel its waste of time and may not be helpful for the exam. However, such thinking might land you in trouble. Since mock test are for the benefit of students. Through such test, student can regularly test their preparation level and know their weak areas. It is also the best self-study option. In fact, online mock test is a much better approach for IIT JEE Preparation.

Not sleeping properly


It is often observed that students don't sleep properly a couple of days before the exam. Tension, stress and anxiety are some of the reasons for this behavior. In fact, students should take complete rest before the exam. Lack of sleep might result in headache and other health issues. It may also ruin your exam; you might find it difficult to recall things during the test. Hence, sleeping at least 8 hours in night is compulsory before the exam.
