Blogs, or weblogs to be precise are on a massive incline.
Millions of people each day are writing blogs.
But is it something you should do? There are nowadays a number of blog sites you can use to express your musings.
You can even start your own WordPress blog site, which is similar to a website that you own the domain name for, but it's just an updated blog.
So the first thing you need to decide is what you want your blog to be? What do you want it to achieve? For instance do you want it to earn you money? Do you want it to promote your business? Think of a popular blog as a piece of real estate.
Thousands read it eagerly each day and the click throughs to the ads are earning the writer a fortune.
This means that when the author wants give up he can sell the blog with an income attached to it.
All the new owner needs to do is continue writing the blog to keep the readers coming back.
Publish your blog.
Yes you can now have your blog published onto the Kindle store! People can subscribe to these blogs and they are downloaded automatically to the users Kindle.
I want my blog to promote my business: Advertising has changed massively and one of the most effective ways to promote your business is by writing engaging and interesting blogs about your business subject.
Say you're a tiler.
Write blogs about the perfect patterns, colours or materials.
As long as you give good advice and don't shout shout shout that you're a tiler people will most probably contact you to give them a quote.
Think about it, why would someone read a blog about tile colours if they're not thinking of having some tiling done? I want my blog to be personal: This is a massive market! There are millions of people ranting, raving, joking around etc everyday using blogs.
Want to talk about local politics? Blog about it.
Be seen to be the expert on the subject in your area.
Some people even create a completely new personality on their blogs.
That's what's great about the internet.
