Winter Park Resort Lodging

Winter Park ski resort in Winter Park, Colorado has many options for vacation lodging.
There is down valley in Fraser or even farther out in Tabernash.
A little closer in is the town of Winterpark and then Old Town (Hideaway Village) and finally at the base of the resort is Winter Park Resort lodging.
Well lets take a walk through the different options and we shall see that there are pluses and minuses with all these options and hopefully we will come upon the option that is right for your Colorado ski vacation in Winter Park.
Lets start with Tabernash down the Fraser Valley about halfway between Fraser and Granby.
Tabernash has many vacation rentals and there is the golf course Pole Creek.
Here is a good place to stay if you are looking for a large out of the way home that will accommodate more than ten people.
Tabernash Tavern is here but most everything else is a five minute car drive away.
Very good place to stay for large groups that what some seclusion.
Up valley a little further is the town of Fraser.
This is where the Safeway is and no matter where you stay you most likely will be making a trip to the Safeway for your groceries.
There also are a few restaurants, ski rental shops and gas station.
The Fraser tube hill is here and is a stop that you should not miss on your vacation.
This is a good place for the more inexpensive lodging there are lots of older ski condos and vacation homes.
Next we come up to The Town of Winter Park.
Here you have everything you will need for your ski vacation besides a grocery store.
Lots of vacation condos, vacation rental homes, town-homes, ski cabins and vacation lodging of all types.
Lots of restaurants, retail shops, ski shops, bank, post office and the local sled hill in Hideaway Park.
Here is a great place if you want to walk to restaurants and shops and you can still hop on the shuttle to the base of the resort.
Lots of activities in-town like ice skating, sledding and park and playgrounds for the little ones.
Lastly we come to the base of Winter Park Resort and here there is Old town and ski in and out lodging on the slopes.
Old town has one restaurant, Ship Wreck Landing, a ski shop and a handful of vacation rental developments.
Old Town is great because you are very close to the slopes but you get a secluded feel you can't find either at the base or the town of Winterpark.
Ski in and out lodging at the base is at the base of the resort.
Here you have the new Village of Winter Park with three restaurants (Cheeky Monk, Goody's, Back Bowl Soup Company) and a couple of shops.
No driving to the resort here as you will walk right up and try to ski right back.
Total convenience here as you could just eat at the restaurants here and ski till your heart is content and not have to go into town at all.
This is a great area for families with kids as well as those here to ski, ski, ski.
These are your choices for Winter Park Resort Lodging and I hope you will enjoy your visit when you come to pour little slice of heaven here in Colorado.
