• The SHO featured the most powerful engine of the Taurus line of vehicles. This 3.0 L V-6 motor produces 220 horsepower and 222 lb.-feet of torque. Keeping in line with the performance-oriented trim on this vehicle, the Taurus SHO is only offered with a five-speed manual gearbox.

• The SHO adds special front and rear fascia and side molding, yet retains the same dimensions as the L, GL and LX models. This sedan sits on a 106-inch wheelbase, while the body has an overall length of 188.4 inches.
