- 1). Start off with clean hair that is wet. Rinse a moisturizing conditioner through the roots to the ends.
- 2). Combine 1/3 cup of lemon juice, 1 tsp. honey, 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar, 2 chamomile tea bags and 1/4 cup of warm water in a spray bottle. Ingredients other than the water should be at room temperature when mixing. The apple cider, honey and lemon juice will activate the chamomile when you step into the sun.
- 3). Using a comb, separate your hair one section at a time where you want the highlights to appear. Each section selected should be sprayed with the chamomile solution after being separated by the comb.
- 4). Once all sections have been sprayed, apply sunscreen to your face and other exposed areas of your body to protect your skin from the sun.
- 5). After 30 minutes, rinse hair thoroughly and apply a leave-in conditioner to resolve any heat damage. Once your hair dries, your highlights will be clear.
