- The Convertible and SSB have 2.4-liter 173 horsepower 4-cylinder engines, while the GXP and T2 trims have 2-liter 260-horsepower 4-cylinder engines. All versions have roughly the same 19 mpg fuel economy for city driving. The Convertible/SSB offer 24 to 25 mpg for highway driving and the GXP and T2 offer 26 to 28 mpg. All come with the standard 5-speed manual transmission.
- Tilt steering with steering wheel-mounted controls, trip computer, AM/FM/CD stereo system and driver multi-adjustable power seat are some of the standard interior features of the Solstice. All trims save for the Convertible have additional features such as cruise control and leather steering wheel, and the SSB and T2 have CD changers with an added subwoofer.
- The Convertible and GXP ride on 18-inch aluminum wheels, while those of the SSB and T2 are made of chrome. Standard exterior features include automatic headlights, daytime running lights, rear defogger and interval wipers. All trims save for the Convertible have fog lamps and power adjustable exterior mirrors. Rear spoilers are standard only on the T2.
- The 2008 Solstice is fitted with an anti-theft system, driver and passenger airbags, and a trunk anti-trap device. All trims save for the Convertible also come with power door locks and windows, ABS system, traction control, Vehicle Stability Control System, and keyless entry.
- The 2008 Pontiac Solstice entered the market with a MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $22,000 to $32,000. As of March 2010, the Kelley Blue Book price range was $15,000 to $19,000. These prices are based on model version and/or number of car features.
