Rohit Shetty is the son of actor and fight master M.B. Shetty, popularly known as Fighter Shetty. He started his career as an assistant director with Kuku Kohli, during Phool and Kaante. This film proved to be Rohit Shetty's most successful film. This was his sixth consecutive hit. In 2014, released his film Singham Returns, which was also a super hit at the box office.

Rohit Shetty is reigning the small screen also with his stint as a judge in the Comedy Circus. He was the jusge of the show from 2001 to 2013. He also hosted the fifth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi on Colors.
