- 1). Close all vehicle doors except the driver's door. Sit inside the vehicle, leaving the driver's door open and unlocked. Make sure the key is not in the ignition.
- 2). Place the key into the ignition and then pull it back out. Repeat this step within five seconds.
- 3). Close and open the driver's door twice. Place the key into the ignition and pull it back out within 40 seconds.
- 4). Close and open the driver's door twice again. Put the key into the ignition and close the driver's door. Turn the ignition to the on position and then back to off. Take the key out of the ignition. This must be done within 40 seconds.
- 5). Listen for the vehicle doors to lock and then unlock on their own. This occurs within three seconds if the above steps have been followed properly.
- 6). Hold down both the lock and unlock buttons on the new remote for 1.5 seconds. Release the buttons and press the lock button for two seconds. Listen for the doors to lock and unlock to acknowledge that the remote was accepted. Repeat this step with any additional remotes.
- 7). Open the driver's door to exit the programming mode. Test the remotes from outside of the vehicle.
