Candida Cleanse Diet - Everything You Needed to Know About a Candida Cleanse Diet

Sounds strange doesn't it - a Candida Cleanse Diet? I mean, how can a diet get rid of a fungus? It doesn't make sense logically does it? But honestly this really is one of the most effective ways of removing the Candida fungus from your system once and for all.
So what is a Candida Cleanse Diet? It is a three stage method designed to do two things;
  1. Starve the Candida fungus - all those foods we love containing sugar, refined carbos, mold are candida favorites to! The best way to get to work killing the fungus is to starve it.
Unfortunately for us, this means not eating these foods.
  2. Eliminate allergens/sensitivities.
Candida will take a grip within us when our immune system is compromised through overwork.
Food sensitivities and allergies are a large contributor to this and most of us have no idea about what we are sensitive to.
How complicated is a Candida Cleanse Diet? To be frank, the most complicated part of the initial stages of the diet for Candida is creating a menu of the foods you can eat.
Cooking it is no problem mainly stir fries and salads.
I find that it is actually quicker and easier than the meals that I used to prepare.
How much will a Candida Cleanse Diet cost? The cost of the diet is almost completely dictated by your ability to get fresh vegetables - lettuce doesn't freeze darn it! It is also worthwhile to note that if your grocery bill is made up of processed or prepackaged foods, flour or 'treats', then there is a good chance that you may be able to save money.
Stage 1 of a Candida Cleanse Diet Stage one is the most important if we want to get back to full health.
It is at this initial stage that we start to attack the fungus from two angles; we take away its food source and we take away the foods that are distracting our immune system so now it can focus on killing the Candida.
This is a very general list of foods that we need to immediately remove from our diet; sugar (including fruit, fruit juice and artificial sweeteners) carbohydrates (simple or otherwise), starch, yeast, mold, gluten, wheat or dairy Fermented foods like soy sauce, vinegar and alcohol are also out.
Some programs say that whole grains like amaranth, buckwheat and millet, low sugar fruits like pineapple or papaya, cottage cheese and unsweetened yogurt containing live cultures are fine at this stage.
Others say 'no way!' The best advice here is that if you are are unsure then do not eat it or if you cant live without it then have really small amounts once a day! Stage 2 of a Candida Cleanse Diet This is where we get to slowly add foods back into our diet.
It is really important to add one food at a time so that you do not overload your digestive system all at once and so that you can tell if you have a reaction to that food.
After each addition it is important to note whether you feel some sort of reaction even if it is just that your heat rate goes up! Keeping some sort of food diary is a really good idea here.
Stage 3 of a Candida Cleanse Diet Congratulations! At this stage you have reintroduced most foods and are able to resume some sort of normal diet.
Even the occasional Pizza can go onto the menu! The Candida Cleanse Diet is a fantastic way of killing the fungus and helping to identify foods that may be suppressing your immune system, but to make a full recovery you also need to be able to heal the damage caused by the fungus and help your other organs deal with the Candida die off.
