Shirdi once a small village in the rahata tahsil has reached the standards of an international place of pilgrimage due to the presence and blessings of Shri Sai Baba. This place is well supported with many infrastructural facilities like transportation, accommodation and communication. This holy city is always busy to cope with the large number of devotees pouring from all sides of the country. Previously there were only a few temples near Samadhi temple but now it has grown into a huge temple complex. In order to control the growing activities of the temple complex a trust called Shridi Saibaba Sansthan trust was appointed. This trust is the authorized governing and administrative body controlling day to day activities of Shirdi Saibaba Samadhi Temple. Apart from the administration it also provides facilities of accommodation, lunch at reasonable rates, hospital, schools, blood bank and Industrial training institute.

The management committee of this trust includes respected personalities. As lots of funds are received in this temple in the form of cash, gold and ornaments, it is the great responsibility of the trustees to receive these donations and utilize them in a proper way. Recently the last managing committee was disbanded on courts orders and a new committee is appointed to look after overall activities of Shirdi temple. Apart from the management of temple, sansthan also looks after the development of Shirdi village. It has donated fifteen lac Rupees towards development of Drinking water supply to the village.

The Shirdi Sansthan publishes an official periodical called Shree Saileela which is a bi-monthly which covers description on all activities of Shri Saibaba Sansthan trust Shiridi, as well as provides spiritual and religious information. It is also publishing around seventy books in different languages describing various incidences in Shri Saibabas life. The sansthan trust has made arrangements of lodging for devotees in the form of Bhakta Niwas the biggest accommodation complex having around five hundred forty two rooms divided into various categories. This facility is located at one km to the south of Mandir complex. The Dwarawati Bhaktaniwas is near bus stand with lots of rooms and all basic amenities.

The daily activities at the Sai temple includes early morning Kakad Aarti, Mangal Snan in Samadhi mandir, Darshan, Abhishek Pooja, Mid day Aarti, Dhoop aarti and then Shej aarti. All this activities are supposed to be performed at the stipulated time which is the responsibility of the Sansthan. Shirdi celebrates three main festivals of around two to four days. They are Ramnavami coming in March/April, Guru Purnima in July and Vijayadashami in September. During these festivals devotees keep on pouring in Shirdi and the Shirdi Sai Sansthan is responsible to make provisions and facilities, so that everyone gets Darshan of Sai Baba and the various programs scheduled are carried on smoothly. At the same time sansthan has to look after security of the temple premises, which is a major concern for the religious centers due to the increasing threats from different groups.
