Why You Should Try Container Gardening

It is a surprise to me that more people are not using container gardening as it has so many benefits.
It is beginning to become more popular, but I am really surprised that more people aren't doing it.
Container gardening is so convenient and can be much easier to manage than a traditional garden.
Handicapped individuals can use container gardening and have their plants located in positions that are easy for them to access, this is something that just isn't always achievable with traditional gardening.
People who are bound to wheelchairs can have their plants in pots on a table where they can easily access them.
Elderly people, who still enjoy gardening but can no longer manage a traditional garden, can easily manage a garden that is broken up into individual pots and tubs, so they can again enjoy their love of gardening.
Container gardening is also a great way to teach children how to grow and care for plants.
With traditional gardening there is much more involved and children can become bored and lose interest, but with individual pots the gardening is easy for them and they can move the plant wherever they want to put it.
One big advantage of gardening in pots is the ability to move plants around.
This means that if the weather turns bad you can move your plants indoors or into a garage where they will be safe from the storm.
If you find your plants are getting too much sun you can easily move them to a shady spot.
Likewise if your plants are not getting enough sun you move them to a sunny spot.
It is easier to maintain and feed your plants when they are grown in pots and tubs.
When you fertilize your plants, the fertilizer isn't going to get lost in the wide space around it, as it is confined to the small area of the container.
When in containers plants will absorb more of the fertilizer and will thrive.
When you start growing plants in containers you can start them off indoors when they are young and need that extra bit of care.
As they mature you can start moving them outdoors and find a great spot outside where they will thrive.
If your plant becomes too big for the pot it is in, it is quite easy to transfer it to a larger pot.
Container gardening is also great if you are restricted for space.
If you live in an apartment or a small home with a small yard, then you can't always have a big garden.
A container garden will allow you to enjoy your love of gardening and have your courtyard or porch looking fantastic.
Container gardens are also great to set up in a sunny windowsill in the kitchen or sunroom.
Container gardens really are a great choice for many reasons, so why not start your own container garden today.
