"Touched by an Angel" star John Dye Died

Actor John Dye has died at the age of 47 on January 10, 2011. The sad news was confirmed by one of his family members and he said Dye passed away in San Francisco, California due to heart related issues. It is indeed a huge shock for his family members, fans and friends. His work and colorful lovable character will always be remembered. He was a great actor and a human being who had care, love, passion and kindness for others but sadly his heart deceived him. Dye was praised for his performance in the character of Andrew the "Angel of Death" in CBS drama series 'Touched by an Angel.' His father, Jim Dye, says John was a great person who inspired us all with his great nature. Jim added his son was always ready to support others without any condition and he provided great support to many noble causes including AIDS research and Make a Wish Foundation.

Dye performed exceptionally well in number of films including, "Modern Girls," "The Perfect Weapon," "Heart of the Beholder," "Best of the Best," and "Campus Man." He was accepted by the TV audience as well when he appeared in "Jack's Place," "The Nerd," and "Tour of Duty." Dye played the character of Bill Morgan in the 2000 television movie "Once Upon a Christmas" and one year later in its sequel "Twice Upon a Christmas." He was born on January 31, 1963 in Amory, Mississippi and he made his name in showbiz with his talent. Although, he is no more with us but his efforts in field of acting and his charitable work for number of organizations will always remain in our memories. Life is beautiful and people like John Dye makes it even more special for others around him. He was a workaholic who gives his hundred percent in every field he worked for. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
