My purpose in writing is to try and document my experience over the last few days with blogging. I have every intention of making future articles the unabridged versions of my thought process from the blog posts. The idea hit me days before I came up with a reason why I should actually put the time into making the blog. The reason being, "Give people something to do for 5 minutes at their desk throughout the day." I had several reasons to think I could entertain people in short bursts throughout the day, and longer with help.

The first reason being simply, my mind wonders. Whether it's because I'm extremely curious or otherwise. Anyone who has ever been in conversation with me for an extended period of time would agree.

The next reason being, I felt I was not alone sitting at my computer in my free time at work. Whether it was my fellow students at their desk next to mine in the research lab, or some distant buisnessman. More and more jobs have people interface with a computer at some point during the day. Why are we not connecting, our cubicles/desks are all so boring. Yeah, we can spice up our space with pictures and the like, but why not talk to... one another.

So, I started the blog to entertain people for at least a 5 minute block of free time during the day. Thus the name of the blog, and hopefully the website sooner or later.

I have to say... I still have about 20 - 30 things right now I would really like to write about. However, I dont want to run out of ideas. So, as a new blogger I don't feel like I am running out of things to say. In fact, the list has grown since day one. I am keeping a piece of paper with me throughout the day and writing down topics I can write about later.

Hopefully there will be interest in future articles I write as extensions of what I have to say in the blog.
