The Global Village and How It Affected the World

Today's generation has been dubbed to be founded on the concept of the Global Village.
It simply means that every person in this world is interconnected one way or the other.
This way, the gap between countries and cultures are being narrowed down into an indivisible line.
The internet is one of the examples in the advancement of technology that further united people from all over the globe.
With just a single click, people could now communicate with each other in a speed of light.
Taking a look back to the way communication was done decades ago; the internet revolutionized the number of important messages being sent and received from all over the globe in a very minute period of time.
As a global village, the world also experienced the thinning of the so-called boundaries when it comes to employment.
This is the reason why job opportunities are being open through the internet.
This is now coined as "outsourcing".
The concept basically is to have a more efficient way to produce the products based from the services offered by individuals in different parts of the world.
The good thing about outsourcing is the fact that more people are having jobs especially in the third world countries where the different Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies tend to operate.
It has provided the average Joe in the third world countries opportunity to have a more than the descent salary basing it from the myriad of below minimum wage jobs in their country.
Different positions have been offered by the BPOs today.
From customer service representatives to the different jobs that relates to the industry of Information Technology; there are a great array of jobs open for competent individuals.
But generally, what do BPOs miss? In reality, they don't miss any point since their business is operating because of the fact that outsourcing is a big industry nowadays.
The party missing the biggest point, however; are the governments that solely rely on outsourcing companies to give their country a boost economically.
Instead of leaning towards nationalization of the vital industries and giving much focus on the agriculture sector; governments of third world countries became content to the fact that dollars are flowing into their economies to make them stay afloat.
Businesses that laid their foundation from the fact of getting cheap labor from other countries is something that is normal for a business.
Come to think of it, businesses will forever have the tendency to find the best means with the least cost in creating goods.
Whether it is actual products or in form of services, outsourcing businesses or any given established business for that matter have an inevitable inclination to cut cost.
The only revamp that should be given proper attention to, would have to be on the way a country reacts to the presence of a BPO.
Governments should make it a point to allow operation of finding labor in their respective countries but never allow their own selves to be content of this industry's presence.
As a sovereign country, they should still be determined and steadfast to give long term solutions to the current economic problems by strengthening industries through proper support and funding.
