The main aim of these therapies is to prevent new attacks and disability.
These therapies also work towards returning the function after an attack.
During symptomatic attacks intravenous corticosteroids are given for acute relapses.
A lot of people take alternative medicines like herbal medicines and hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
Multiple sclerosis is more commonly seen in young adults.
The life expectancy of a person suffering from MS is about 10 years lesser than that of a normal person.
