How to Repair a DVD With Toothpaste

    • 1). Wipe the disc from the center outward in gentle, straight lines using a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

    • 2). Apply a moderate amount of regular toothpaste to a cloth and buff in a small circular motion around the scratches on the disc, applying enough pressure to wear away at the scratches.

    • 3). Rinse the disc thoroughly to remove all of the toothpaste.

    • 4). Dry the disc completely with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or a hair dryer on the lowest setting.

    • 5). Play the disc to see if it works. If not, repeat this process as many times as necessary.
