Vets have many choices when it comes to where they choose to work.
Many will either work in small animal practices as employees, or opt to own their own clinics.
There are vets who work for the government in a multitude of roles including quarantine and customs, primary industries, national parks.
An exciting option is to work in a zoo or wildlife park where you will have the opportunity to work with exotic animals.

Animal welfare agencies are always on the lookout for vets.
Some of these are paid positions, but you will find many vets will offer their services on a voluntary basis for a few hours a week.

As you can see there are many exciting opportunities for anyone who successfully becomes a vet.
