Five Young MLB Arms Poised For Superstardom on Satellite TV

One of the treats of an MLB Extra Innings package is seeing the rising stars in either league.
From David Beckham in Chicago to Tim Lincecum in San Francisco, 2009 had so many moments for the youth movement.
Checking in with a satellite TV MLB package in 2010, viewers are advised to follow young pitchers.
Here are five to watch.
1.
Tommy Hanson, Braves.
Hanson has joined an exciting staff that was deprived of Javier Vasquez over the offseason but doesn't expect to miss a beat.
With Derek Lowe and Tim Hudson tutoring him on a daily basis, the exciting Hanson should do nothing but continue to dominate.
Few pitchers handled the 2009 Yankees with such ease, nor smoked the Marlins and Phillies with regularity.
It isn't out of the question to expect Cy Young contention from Hanson soon, so stay tuned to the TBS HD network.
2.
Clay Bucholz, Red Sox.
With a no-hitter under his belt and still not twenty-five years on the planet, Bucholz went to the height of the baseball world before taking a step back - then forward again - in 2009.
The Red Sox have been very protective of the young pitcher, but it appears he'll have a full year of service ahead of him in 2010.
Stay tuned to the Red Sox NESN network to see how this rising star develops.
No-hitters are rarely flukes, yet putting together a dominant pitching career seems more difficult than ever these days in Major League Baseball.
3.
Josh Johnson, Marlins.
Satellite subscribers who took advantage of the MLB Extra Innings package in 2009 got treated to a regular pitching clinic whenever the mighty Josh Johnson took the mound.
Another NL East fireballer who had his way with the Bronx Bombers during interleague play, Josh Johnson is rather obviously poised for great things in the league.
The Marlins always seem on the brink of contention, and with this gun fronting their rotation, there's no reason to expect otherwise in 2010.
4.
Phil Hughes, Yankees.
The 'philthy' one has had one of the strangest and most circuitous routes to any rotation in 2010.
Once dubbed the prize of the Yankees' farm system and protected throughout his AA career at Trenton, Hughes came to the bigs hurling with a vengeance, only to go down with an injury in the midst of a no-hitter in Texas.
In 2008, his stint in the rotation was disastrous.
As of 2009, he became the most feared reliever in baseball, bar none.
Where will Phil Hughes go now that he's back in the rotation? This question will be hotly debated on the sports shows.
5.
Gavin Floyd, White Sox.
Playing for manager Ozzie Guillen is to grapple every day with one of the wildest characters in professional sports.
Nonetheless, Sox hurler Gavin Floyd is the type of young gun that isn't affected by much of anything.
His grittiness and intensity have made him an instant sensation in the Windy City.
There is no reason to doubt that satellite TV subscribers will see the emergence of a new rotation star.
