TV today is something which millions of people all over the world cannot live without. For them the TV is irreplaceable source of information and entertainment that provides pleasant time. The TV has turned into a media with a great size and many are addicted to it and cannot live without it.
The first TV system that had to be used was electron but the choice that was made was between electron and mechanical. The way the mechanical TV worked consisted of synchronizing rotating disc that both the transmitting and the receiving device had. The mechanical TV received the data and by using neon light it illuminated a special mask as before this the light was turned into millions of impulses showing parts of the picture via another rotating disc. The problems with this system were many and the necessary things were: accurate synchronization between the discs of the transmitter and the receiver and the studio had to be dark. However, the inventor of the disc system-Jenkins created the first receiver which was called Radiovisor and in 1928 a great number of the devices were sold. Jenkins also created the first for the North America television station which was called W3XK. The same year the broadcasting of radio films began. Not paying attention to the low quality of the broadcasting, it was a great experience.
Very soon the place of the mechanical TVs was replaced by the electron. Kinescope was created and showed a good quality of the picture. From 1935 to 1941 were the first trials in Germany, England, Italy, France, USA and Holland. The commercial black-and-white stations occurred in USA in 1941 and the first TV with a mechanical tuner was called RCA 630-TS and had 10-inch display. The first absolutely electronic TV occurred in 1954 and was called CBS-Columbia. The system, however, is soon abandoned.
During the next years a great variety of receivers occurred as the size of the kinescope constantly increased, the quality of the picture got better and the remote control was created for greater comfort. Very soon the cable and satellite TV occurred and the quality of the TV improved a lot. The black-and-white TV was replaced by the colored one which was a great success.
Nowadays, the greatest innovation in the world of TV is the occurrence of digital TV. It is even said that until the end of 2012 all the TVs will be digital which means that the ordinary analog TVs will be fully removed. There are many new extras that TVs offer and the signal of the digital TV is perfect. The receivers themselves are quite modern and have many advantages like the great size of the screen and the small size of the TV itself.
