Sierra Hutchinson reports about her work experiences in the West African country of Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
Sierra Hutchinson (Yessoufou) has been in West Africa since receiving her BA in English in 2000. She served with the Peace Corps in northern Benin for three years as, among other roles, a middle school ESL teacher before her hiring by the International Foundation for Education and Self Help in 2004. In her current position, Sierra is working with the Ministry of National Education, multilateral organizations and local cooperatives to address functional adult literacy in the agricultural belt of Cote d'Ivoire.
