Choosing Your Rental Company

A lot more people are turning to rental instead of buying their IT products.
This because it is more cost effective and there isn't a massive outlay when companies need to buy new computers.
When people are changing over to rental, they can be a little dubious at first because it seems too good to be true.
It seems like there is a catch because renting is so affordable.
However, it is just that good of a service.
The aim of this article is to educate people on how to pick the best service because some companies will try and take the most money off you, and make you pay over the odds for the service that they are providing.
Therefore you need to look into what the company actually provides for you and what is included in the payment.
1.
One payment - If you are hiring a lot of equipment and other things like projectors, then you need to make sure it is all covered with one payment.
The company should include the cost of each item and bundle it together when they bill you.
Otherwise you are going to get confused over what you are paying for and when.
You should also ask them If they do any discounts on bulk rentals.
Some companies do this and others don't, but there is no harm in asking.
2.
Servicing and maintenance - You should make sure that the company includes the service and maintenance of the machines in the payment.
Therefore you are only dealing with one company for everything.
If you have to pay another company to make the repairs then you are spending more money than you need to.
In this day and age, companies need to save as much money as they can.
Therefore, ask them if they offer this service before you hire them.
Some companies have servicing and maintenance included in the cost of the rentals; others will have a small-added fee.
Even if it is more expensive, it is worth the money.
It is like an added insurance just in case something goes wrong.
3.
All equipment - You should choose a company that has the ability to hire you everything that you might need in a business.
This includes computers, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, laptops, routers, servers, storage options and PA systems among other items.
This is so you only have to pay and deal with one company.
Their service and maintenance package that is mentioned above should cover everything they have available to rent.
4.
Upgrades - Technology changes very quickly and some companies will like to upgrade their computers every year.
You should ask the rental company if they have a policy for upgrading the equipment that you have.
Some companies will do the upgrades and you just carry on paying the rental payment.
However, if the upgrades are expensive, the company might increase the cost of the rentals.
This is not something that should be surprising to you because if the machines cost more for them to buy, then it will cost more for you to rent.
Just like if you rented a more expensive car.
However, the best rental company will have price points for used computers that will be a lot cheaper.
5.
Rental Plan - Ask them about their rental plans.
You might only want to rent the equipment for a year at first, to see how good they are, or to see how successful your business is.
However, it is worth asking them about other plans because they might have special prices for companies who hire the equipment for a longer period of time.
