- 1). Double-click Trillian from your desktop or click "Start," then select "All Programs" and choose "Trillian."
- 2). Click "Trillian" in the upper-left corner of the Trillian window, then select "Manage Accounts."
- 3). Select "Accounts" from the "Preferences" window if it isn't already selected.
- 4). Click "Add a new account...," then select "IRC."
- 5). Enter the server alias into the "Server Alias" text box.
- 6). Add the server channel into the "Channel" text box. If you don't want to type the channel in manually, click the "..." next to the box and browse to the channel from the list.
- 7). Enter your "Username," "Nickname" and "User Info" into the appropriate text boxes.
- 8). Click "Connect" to initiate the connection to the IRC network.
- 9). Click the "Trillian" button once more, then select "Join a Channel."

Type the name of the channel on the IRC server you want to join, then click "OK" to initiate the connection.
