Top 20 safety tips for Halloween day

I am a nutrition consultant so my topic of interest in health and fitness. But my current following article is about safety. I am writing this article on behalf of humanity. Halloween is a festival day especially for kids. So we have to take extra precaution. So I am trying to share some safety tips so that everybody can make the day as fun day not a tragic day.

20 safety tips:

Serve your kids a tasty treats before trick or treating and they won't be as tempted to eat any candy before they bring it home for you to check.

Check the quality of your kids' candy before they eat it.

Always trick or treat groups should accompany by an adult. If they're old enough to trick-or-treat without an adult, tell your kids to stay in a group.

Costumes should be flame retardant.

Costumes should be bright in colour, reflective or with a bright coloured tape on so that motorist can see them.

Kids should carry flash lights or glow stick, so that it could be visible easily at dark to cars.

Drop kids out from the car at the curb side, not on the traffic side.

Costume should fits properly to avoid any accidents like tripping over a long dress or cape or oversized shoes.

Consider using face paint instead of masks. (Masks can obstruct a child's vision.) Don't cover the face. Instead of masks or any cover on face, paint or make-up should get considered to avoid obstruction on child's vision.

Instead of buying paint from outside try to Make face paints at home with items from pantry or from dressing table. Some paints contain lead which could impair brain and harmful for skin.

Don't buy synthetic face masks or teeth, they may contain toxic chemical that aren't always labeled. Make from reusable organic material like straw, paper or buy organic one.

If the child is carrying prop, make sure that the tips are smooth and flexible or not too long to avoid any injury.

Each child should wear emergency identification tags with their name, address and phone number.

Try to avoid taking short cuts through fields, parking lots, backyards and back alleys.

Never accept rides from strangers.

Make sure kids don't go inside someone's house, unless the people are known. They can get their candy from the porch.

Artificial lights and candles are a safer alternative in the pumpkin to real candles with a flame that can pose a fire hazard.

Clean up immediately all the wraps or any leftover after Halloween. A toddler could rise early and choke on any leftover.

Kids should get loaded with Vitamin C to boost their immune system as a defense to prevent any weather related sickness during trick or treat out side.

Children should be careful about stray animals.
