Waterpik - How to Use Waterpiks For Tonsil Stones Removal

There are many healthcare professionals that will recommend the use of waterpiks (curved tip syringe as a means of effectively physically removing tonsil stones.
People often report excellent results using a waterpik, with relief from the discomfort of the tonsil stones appearing.
However, there are some precautions that must be taken in order to make use of a waterpik safely.
The most common mistake people make with the use of a waterpik to deal with tonsil stones, is that better results come from a stronger current of irrigation.
That is not necessarily the case.
If the pressure setting on the waterpik is too high, there is a chance that you will not only blast the tonsil stones away from the tonsils, but also damage some of the sensitive tissue in the area.
Keep in mind that tonsil stones are a foreign body to your tonsils.
Their presence has meant weakening of tissues due to irritation.
While it is great to get rid of the stones, there is no point in creating a whole new problem by irritating the already sensitive surrounding tissue.
When using a waterpik, instead of taking wild aims and firing at random, take a moment to attempt to focus your shots directly at stones you can see.
Fill the waterpik with water, fire, then take another look before firing again.
This will also help minimize irritation to the surrounding tissue and make for better days once the stones are dislodged.
