Instructions for the iTouch

    • 1). Turn on your iTouch. Make sure it is charged before you go through the steps of getting familiar with your device. On the home screen of your iTouch, select the "Voice Memos" icon and get familiar with the application. Record a memo of your voice and play it back to see how it works. Select "Edit Memos" to trim the memo, or select "Email Voice Memo" to send your memo to a friend.

    • 2). Download iTunes for free on a computer. Install all required applications and run the iTunes download. Plug your iTouch into the correct end of your data cable. Connect the other end of the data cable into the USB slot on your computer. Continue to run iTunes on your computer. Add songs to your iTunes Library. Drag the songs to the iPod icon in the left pane of the iTunes program browser. Download the songs onto your iTouch. Click on the USB icon at the bottom right corner of your screen and click to safely remove your iTouch from your computer's USB slot.

    • 3). Select the "Music" icon on the home screen of your iTouch. Plug in your Apple earphones with remote and mic into the earphone jack of your iTouch. Press and hold the center area remote of your iTouch earphones to activate Voice Control, which will automatically play any song that you say into the mic. Speak through the earphone's mic and say whatever song you would like for your iTouch to play. Listen to the song you have selected.

    • 4). Select the "Mail" icon on the home screen of your iTouch. On the add account screen, select the icon for the email service that you want to set up, e.g. Yahoo, AOL, Gmail. If your email service icon is not visible on the page, select other. Enter your account information, and you have successfully added your email account to your iTouch.

    • 5). Select settings on the home screen of your iTouch. Open "Mail," "Contacts," "Calendars." Select add account, then select Microsoft Exchange. Enter your email address in the email field. Enter your account username and password and hit next. Enter your email service web address in the server field, e.g. www.yahoo.com. Select "Next" at the top of the screen. Select the services you want to sync. Hit "enable" on your iTouch, and you have successfully synchronized mail, calendar and contacts to your iTouch.
