Filing a Copyright Claim:

• 1). Visit the Industry Canada link in the Resource section below and create an account. It will ask you to create a user name and password and ask you for some basic information such as your name, street address and email address.
  
  
• 2). Carefully review all of the personal information entered to insure accuracy. This information will be used to confirm your copyright claim and to contact you regarding any copyright issues.
  
  
• 3). You must have a verified account as described in steps 1 and 2 above before you can proceed to Step 3. Once you have your account, visit the link to the copyright form in the Resource section below. The form will guide you through the process of registering a work for copyright.
  
  
• 4). Upload the digital copy of your work using the form mentioned in Step 3.
  
  
• 5). Use your credit card to pay the applicable fees. The standard fee is $50 as of April 2010.
