- 1). Hand the teen in your life a daily newspaper and tell him to write about what's going on in the world around him and how it makes him feel. It'll help him focus on what he may--or may not--be angry about.
- 2). Try cutting out pictures of images in advertisements that may affect your teen's self image.
Assure her that she doesn't need validation from these images, but, writing about what she sees can ignite her own self-discovery process. - 3). When an adult notices changes in a teen's attitudes, it's time to encourage the youth to voice anger in verses of expressive prose and poetry to include in his journal. Encourage him to write bluntly about his concerns.
