Right now Facebook is probably one of the most marketing tools on the planet if not the most powerful tool.
Over 25,000,000 are members of it and it is a known fact that over half of those people log on once a day.
Simply put that is 12,500,000 potential customers to sell to each day.
So why do I think it is the most powerful marketing tool on the planet? Well it has people on it of all ages and from all walks of life, and they all have different hobbies and interests from sailing to cycling to knitting.
There are simply thousands of groups on it covering every interest you can think of.
This is where you look at it from a marketing point of view.
If you join a group that is interest in surfing as an example then you have a ready made customer base that you can attract to your site and sell boards to.
The good bit is it is really easy to set up your own group on any subject and invite friends to join, and with a bit of effort persuade them to invite more like minded people to join your group as well.
Having your own group allows you to begin to a people with the same interests as you, it is not like Google AdWords where you pay maybe 30 cents per click only to get say 1 in 30 people signing up to your knitting forum.
All the traffic you will attract is 100 percent free, but best of all it is all what I call laser targeted traffic.
Everyone in your group will be there because they already have the same interest as you do.
This applies to any niche and hence the reason why I think Facebook is currently the best marketing tool in the world.
