- 1). Download and install the Microsoft Safety Scanner tool.
- 2). Click the Windows orb located in the bottom-left of the screen. Click “All Programs” and then click “Microsoft Safety Scanner.”
- 3). Click “Scan” from the Microsoft Safety Scanner window. The program will scan your entire computer system and hard drive for the triangle infection. Once the files are found, they are quarantined for your removal. This process could take from one to three hours, depending on how infected your system is.
- 4). Click “Remove” when asked to confirm the removal of the triangle infection.
