Dvd Rack Guide On Usage

DVD racks are often the most forgotten pieces of home furniture which is unfortunate because of the various ways that they can be used to really improve your home theater organization. They aren't just for keeping movies in either. You can keep your music, games, family movies and digital photo albums in the as well. If it's something that is stored on a disc that looks like a CD or DVD than it can be stored in a DVD rack.

The most common kind of DVD rack that you will find is the tower rack. A DVD tower rack is a vertical standing unit that's typically only as wide as required to store standard sized DVD cases. It's not uncommon to find them in dual sided storage configurations where you can store your media both in the front of the rack as well as the rear. They can be made a variety of materials. Wood, plastic and metal are the most common materials.

The wall mounted rack is a great solution for people that don't have the floor space needed for other media storage options. Being mounted on the walls, they don't consume the floor space that most media storage solutions would. They are typically mounted or hung using hollow wall anchors or screws into the studs of the wall. These are an options if you have less than 100 movies to store, but are the most easily "Scaled" solution meaning that as your collection grows you can increase the number of racks that you use.

You can also find hanging DVD racks that make a great solution for unique situations. These are used when holes can't be drilled into walls for wall mounted racks, and floor space is too limited for more conventional tower DVD racks. They are designed to hook over the sides of your entertainment stand or on the back of a door. These are great for college dorms, efficiency apartments and other confined areas.

These 3 examples of DVD racks are the most common examples that you will find. They have been very beneficial to many people over the years and when used properly you will find that there is a host of advantages in using them in your home. They can help you keep track of your collection, protect it, and display it without any extra effort. In addition to that, you can use it to keep track of your kids video games as well, and for those of us with little one's that can be a real life saver just in itself.
