Electric golf trolleys are only for old men.
Real golfers carry their clubs and walk the course.
Wrong.
When did you last see a professional golfer in a tournament carrying their own clubs.
Professional golfers are sportsmen and certainly fit enough to carry their own clubs - but they do not.
Maybe it's because they know that to play their best golf they need to play each shot in their best condition without risking an accelerated heart rate or being breathless on reaching their ball.
To play their best shot they have to be mentally and physically calm.
They have a golf caddy to carry their clubs, and true they will also receive advice about the course and possible best club selection for each shot.
Now most of us cannot afford to employ a golf caddy whenever, we play golf and so the next best thing is an electric golf cart as they are also known.
The trolley will carry your clubs, and save your back and shoulders, whilst you still get to walk the course.
Surely the best of both worlds.
A basic cart will have two main wheels and either one or two smaller wheels at the front for ease of steering.
The electric motor will move the trolley forward and normally the speed can be controlled.
That's it on your basic model, and probably all that most of us need.
When you decide to buy an trolley you will need to think about the time you are not on the golf course.
Where will you store the trolley and how easy is it to fold down and pack away.
How easy is the reverse procedure and how heavy is it to lift from your car to the ground.
We said previously the golf trolley would help protect your back so you do not want to risk injury because the trolley you buy is too heavy to lift safely.
Fortunately nowadays, an electric golf cart will have a lightweight aluminium frame and fold down quickly for easy storage.
Do not wait until you have back or joint problems.
Help preserve your health and look into getting an electric golf cart and enjoy your golf for many years to come.
