Resorts Available in Aime La Plagne

La Plagne is an area for skiing in the French area of alpine valley of Terentaise (Savoie).
This town is currently owned and managed by Compagnie des Alpes.
Ski Area: La Plagne is a city situated at very high altitudes.
It lies at an altitude of 3250 meters to 1250 meters.
The ski area of La Plagne is around 100km which is spread across four different communes.
It has around 225 km.
of slopes which makes it a best destination for skiing.
The off-skiing area includes Bellecote's North Face.
La Plagne is made as a modern ski resort with two cable cars.
Eleven Resorts: 1.
Plagne Centre- This is one of the first resorts that were opened in December 1961.
This resort has an urban touch along with functional architecture.

Aime-La Plagne- This was started to be build in 1968 and got complete in 1969.
"Steamer of the snow" is the main building of the resort.

Champagny-en-Vanoise- This resort was made with the view to expand a small town located in the valley of Bozel.
This is south-facing slope, thus receiving more of sunlight and less of snow.

Montchavin- This town is found in the commune of Bellentre with 3 chairlifts that serves the village of Montchavin.

Plagne Villages- This town was opened in 1972 and is one of the important resorts.

Plagne Bellecote- This town was created in 1974 as being a project since 1968.
This resort drew hydroelectric dams to close the passage of the valley.

Les Coches- Les Coches was opened in 1980.

Montalbert - This resort was also opened in 1980.

Plagne - This resort was opened in 1982 as a backwater of La Plagne with a special charm.
It was an old mining village with traditional wooden chalets and locally quarried 'blue lauze' slate roofs.

Belle Plagne - This resort was opened in 1980.
11.
Plagne Soleil - This resort was opened in 1990.
These 11 resorts have very important part in tourism sector of this area.
