- 1). Click the “Start” button. Select the “Programs” option. Select “Administrative Tools” from the displayed list. Click the “Cluster Administrator” option. This action will display the console tree on a computer that is running Cluster Administrator.
- 2). Select the “Groups” folder in the console tree. Select the desired group where you intend to add Integration Services. For adding Integrations Services as a cluster resource to the same group as the SQL Server, select the group where the SQL Server is maintained. For adding Integrations Services as a cluster resource to a different group other than the SQL Server, select a group that does not contain the SQL Server.
- 3). Click “File” on the main menu. Select the “New” option. Click the “Resource” option. This action will display the New Resource page on the Resource Wizard.
- 4). Type the desired name for the new resource. Select “Generic Service” as the service type. Leave the default setting for the “Value” option regarding the group. Click the “Next” button. This action will display the Possible Owners page on the Resource Wizard.
- 5). Add or remove the “Nodes,” of the cluster, as specified for the possible owners of the resource. Click the “Next” button. This action will display the Dependencies page on the Resource Wizard.
- 6). Select a resource under “Available Resources,” to add the desired dependencies. Click the “Add” button. Click the “Next” button. This action will display the Generic Service Parameters page on the Resource Wizard.
- 7). Enter “MsDtsServer100” as the service name. Click the “Next” button. This action will display the Registry Replication page on the Resource Wizard.
- 8). Click the “Add” button to include the registry key that identifies the position of the configuration file for SSIS. Type “SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\SSIS\ServiceConfigFile” in the Registry Key area. Click the “Finish” button.
