More and more children worldwide are overweight or obese, increasing their risk of medical problems including non-communicable diseases, and psychosocial problems including self-esteem, depression and bullying. A team from Australia, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong reviewed trials that evaluated interventions promoting healthier diets and increased physical activity to prevent children from becoming overweight and obese.
