Among the popular beaches on Florida's panhandle, the quiet and relaxing Mexico Beach offers beautiful weather, clean beach fronts and a complete lack of high rise buildings. However, even though the town refrains from the large resort complexes, a number of lodging options still remain including RV campgrounds, beach house rentals and most popular, the privately owned beach hotels and inns. - The El Governor Motel offers 120 rooms with private balconies that over look the Gulf of Mexico and the beach front. These rooms are not simply standard guest accommodations, but rather efficiencies with a kitchenette that includes a full-sized stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and sink.
